Scholar VS Novelist

I wonder why those scholars don't want to share their thoughts like how novelists have been practising to tell readers the stories lie on their mind...

Those two novels from Jodi Picoult are the birthday present that i received from Itee, Gan, Peywen and Tien Hwee. I daren't to start it yet cos most probably i would finished it within a day, no matter how busy i am. So...sounds better if i just ignore it right now and wait til the day i finished my assignments...:(
